US Grade 2 - 5
In this ongoing book club, learners choose their book to share, what they love to read, what they are reading and share it in a comfortable, friendly, interactive community of like-minded readers. Books! Books! Books! They're every where for a reason. People love to read. If you're one of those learners who loves to read, just can't get enough of reading, always has a book in hand or just likes to read from time-to-time, you've come to the right place. Here learners will share openly what they are reading and get ideas of interesting books to read. Picture reading a portion of your book to our book club community, answering questions about your book from the community, telling a little of the characters, plot, setting, problem but no telling the solution or the ending. Imagine sharing what you like about the book you're reading, why you chose it and whether you'd recommend it to the book club community or not. Well your imagination just came to life when you enroll in "What Are YOU Reading? A Social Interactive Book Club for You." Come read, listen, share and experience a reading experience each week in a comfortable, friendly, interactive environment. Learners will span the ages of 7-10 years of age and have varying reading abilities. Here, all readers are welcome and feel comfortable in sharing their book as learners develop small group speaking skills or just listen in to see what book they'll choose to read next. Here, learners learn from each other. Wherever you are in your book, come share it in this safe environment in "What Are YOU Reading? A Social Interactive Book Club for You." All books shared must be appropriate kid content, age appropriate and safe for all to hear and learn about. No books of violence [extreme or graphic] or sexual content will be allowed. Learners must be respectful as each learner reads, speaks and shares about their book. Teacher may present an age appropriate book for the learners to read, demonstrating, modeling for learners how to choose an appropriate book to present, discuss the cover, read a few pages and engage learners in discussion. This is a fun place to be each week. Enroll today in "What Are YOU Reading? A Social Interactive Book Club for You." Meet new friends and read together. What better place to be each week? There's nothing more special than seeing a learner or a group of learners reading what they love to read. Developing a love for reading is one of my passions because it hits home for me. As a very young girl, I always hand a book in my hand, spending every possible moment reading an exciting, engaging book. The library and a bookstore were one of my favorite places to go.
I've taught children to adults from several different continents to read, and the joy I had each time as their eyes open wide when they realize they know that word, can read that sentence, paragraph, story, book, that they can actually read themselves. What a joy! And that's the excitement and connection I want to make with learners from all over here in "What Are YOU Reading? A Social Interactive Book Club for You." 📚
