During this interactive class, we will learn basic 2D shapes (square, circle, rectangle, triangle and diamond). If we have time, we will also explore hexagon, pentagon and octagon. Together as a class, we will count the sides, draw the shape and then I will send the students off for a shape hunt! The students will search around their home for an item that is the specific shape we are talking about. Learning with this hands on, active activity will keep your students having fun while they learn their shapes!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of square, circle, triangle, rectangle and circle. They will be able to identify the 5 shapes in the real world.

Writing utensil, blank paper, 1 item per shape

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
