“In Britain, a cup of tea is the answer to every problem.”― David Walliams, Mr Stink This tween book club is perfect for having storytime with well-written literature. In this ongoing weekly book club, students will independently read the scheduled David Walliams book and come to class ready to discuss, laugh, guess puzzles, and strengthen reading comprehension skills. David Walliams has been called the heir to Roald Dahl. If your child loves Roald Dahl, this is the perfect book club for them! Each class begins with a warm-up question to get students ready to engage and participate with ease. Then, moving through one chapter or section at a time, students will answer multiple-choice and open-ended questions about the plot and character behavior. Students will have many opportunities to reflect on how they might react if they were in the character's situation. Filled with lighthearted fun and engagement (and of course, puzzles!) your child will be eager to read a full book each week. See you in book club! Love, Teacher Bethanie Book List: 1.
