Class Experience
US Grade 2 - 3
Follows Teacher-Created Curriculum
In this ongoing enrichment class, students will begin each class by taking turns reading aloud from the picture book Diary of a Worm by Doreen Cronin or one of the other two books in the series. Guided discussion about the reading excerpt will provide an in-context opportunity to focus on a particular Grammar usage or Language Arts skill which will be reinforced with an interactive activity. A journal prompt based on the diary entry will be provided. Students will have time to discuss ideas...
- Students will review focused Grammar and English Language Arts skills and apply these skills to their journal writing in each class session. Writing prompts will allow students to develop ideas and create journal entries using different formats. This class provides a fun way for students to maintain writing skills.
