55 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
Are you in need of some support with your executive function and organization skills? This class if for you! Each week, we will spend 55 minutes cleaning out our school backpacks, binders, and notebooks. We will update our homework calendars, check on any big upcoming school projects, and make lists of any missing homework we may need to catch up on. Then, we review our week to see how we did with homework, classwork, work/life balance, and after school activities (e.g. chores, extracurriculars) and set goals for the following week to improve our performance, enhance our life, and increase our happiness! This class is great for students who are just beginning to master their executive function skills! Neurodiverse students, extremely disorganized students, notoriously tidy students, and everyone in between are welcome to join! The chance to sit down every week and focus on how we are spending our time, achieving our goals, tracking our habits, and organizing our school life is a true game changer. Students will be encouraged to take a balanced view of their life. Ms. AJ is a strong advocate for well-rounded students who get time to work, play, sleep, and chill out. Students will be encouraged to take charge of their responsibilities so that they have more time to do what makes them truly happy! Each class involves - Binder or folder reset - Support updating your calendar and homework folder - Time to create project plans for any big projects - Reviewing your schedule for the coming week - Reviewing your learning goals, reflecting on your previous week of work, and setting yourself up for success - Suggestions and reminders on how to approach various teachers to help you get the most out of class
