Together, we will paint using either acrylic, liquid tempera, poster or craft paint. (If you prefer tempera cake/watercolor, please check out my weekly watercolor classes.) Week of February 22-28: Ice Cream Cones Week of March 1-7: Kool Kites Week of March 8-14: Keith Haring Inspired People Week of March 15-21 James Rizzi Inspired Birds Week of March 22-28: Pattern Lion Week of March 29- April 4: Bright Bunny Week of April 5-11: Alma Woodsey Thomas Inspired Eclipse Week of April 12-18: Puddle Jumping Week of April 19-25: Wayne Thiebaud Inspired Gumball Machine Week of April 26-May 2: Pinata This ongoing class meets each week, without a set end date. You may end your subscription or rejoin at any time! No prior class or knowledge is necessary to join at any time. Although they build a well-rounded art understanding, these classes do stand alone. We will paint simple designs using basic shapes, lines and step-by-step instruction. After the drawing is complete, we will paint our images with a variety of colors. Students do not need painting experience, as we will discuss painting techniques and practice using the paintbrush during each class. Students will identify colors, shapes and art supplies. Student will be encouraged to make creative choices throughout their painting add unique ideas and elements to their paintings. Students are not required to share, however, are always given time to show and share something about their painting at the end of each class. We will have an ART-tastic time discussing the qualities of each other's paintings, finding the beauty in unique details.

Drawing Paper (Preferably something thicker than printer paper, so it does not tear) Pencil/Eraser Crayon Either acrylic, liquid tempera, poster or craft paint: Colors will vary but White, Black, Red, Yellow and Blue are all we will ever need. (Tempera cakes/watercolor paint mix differently and are taught in my separate, weekly watercolor classes) Brush, Towel, Water in Cup Art shirt or smock, if necessary

Hello there! I am an art educator with a Bachelor of Science in K-12 Art Education. I am also a wife, mom and artist! I have taught since 2009 in public schools, a charter school and even in private art centers.
I have a new passion for teaching online. I truly enjoy bringing my enthusiasm for art into the homes of students. I aim to boost artistic confidence by providing simple, yet engaging, step-by-step lessons.
