No prior experience needed! In this ukulele camp, we will go over the basics of learning the ukulele: understanding the anatomy of the instrument, how to tune your ukulele, proper ukulele playing technique, and reading and playing ukulele chords. Your student will come out of class with the ability to memorize chords and play them upon seeing the short-hand writing for each chord. We will go over care for their instrument, as well as how and where to find the chords for their favorite songs. The course will end with a small talent show where students may showcase the skills we learn in class. With practice and instruction, students will be able to learn any song they please on the ukulele in a short amount of time. Students will need a ukulele, a place where they feel comfortable practicing and performing for the class, and an eagerness to try something outside of their comfort zone.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to tune and care for their ukulele. They will also learn ukulele chords and tablatures so they can learn how to play any song they please with ease.
