In this class, students will learn to draw simple weather pictures using weather terms (sunny, windy, cloudy, rainy, snowy). They will use their five senses to describe and learn about each weather type and will be able to share their favorite weather (sharing is encouraged but not required). Students do NOT need prior drawing experience or weather knowledge. For this class students WILL need a blank piece of paper (or two) and crayons, colored, pencils, markers (whatever drawing items they prefer). When class begins we will: *Go over the classroom rules *create a list of weather types *learn to draw a simple weather picture for each type of weather *discuss our five senses (what do we hear, smell, feel, taste, and see) *Students will choose their favorite weather type and free draw their own picture. *Students will be able to share their drawings (encouraged but not required) *five weather types review *Say goodbyes
Learning Goals
Students will learn to draw five types of weather (sunny, rainy, cloudy, snowy, windy) and will be able to discuss their favorite weather types using their five senses.

Students will need a blank piece of paper (or two) and drawing materials such as: crayons, markers, pencils, etc.

Welcome! My name is Nicole Allen. I am a very outgoing, upbeat, and exciting teacher. I love to have fun and work hard to encourage and help each and every child I teach.
I have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and am licensed to teach students ages K-6. I have taught kindergarten for three years and have been teaching English to students online as an ESL teacher for 2 years.
I have five beautiful children of my own ages 4, 8, 10, 11, and 13 and love adding extra homeschool content to help my own kiddos learn more each day.
I am very creative and love animals! I love to paint, draw, sew, and bake and enjoy playing board games with my family. I am an Animal Crossing fanatic. I have five pets: three cats (Zelda, Blossom, and Julius), one dog (Obi Wan), and a rabbit (Snuggles). I am a huge fan of Starwars and love to watch comedy shows.
I am excited to teach classes using drawing, art concepts, English, and math, and hope to bring several pre-school related curriculum topics to my online classroom as well. I look forward to incorporating fun themes such as Star Wars, Animal Crossing, and Zelda in future classes and would like to offer great themed classes for my future students.
