Class Experience

Part of Outschool Online Pride (OOP). MORE DETAILS OF OOP CAN BE FOUND HERE: http://oopfestival.blogspot.com/

Learners will design and create their own Pride T-shirts to wear for Outschool Online Pride (or any other time) with guidance from an LGBTQ+ educator. We will consider various Pride flags and colors, slogans and symbols, and each learner will produce a garment unique to themselves and their imagination. I will provide some designs that can be printed beforehand and traced onto shirts, if desired. Learners are encouraged to bring and share their own ideas. Happy Pride!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I'm Ms. Molly, and I teach violin, viola and cello lessons, both classical and fiddle, as well as other musical topics and humanities subjects. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music and English and (most of) a Master of Arts in Music. I have taught strings for 25 years, both individual and group lessons, in a variety of settings, including private music schools, urban public schools, and in students' homes. I have Suzuki training, and my teaching style incorporates Suzuki principles while remaining flexible to the student's needs. I'm a homeschooling adoptive parent to a 2E child; our family enjoys making music together, reading all kinds of books, rescuing cats, and creating art. I believe that the arts are a fundamental part of education, that learning occurs best in an atmosphere of mutual respect between student and teacher, and that we all learn from one another all the time. I look forward to meeting you!
