In this one-time class students will learn the concept of underpainting and create flower sketches and doodles ontop of their artwork!
Class experience
In this class we'll create a bouquet of flowers using watercolor paints and pen/sharpie. Students will be introduced to the concept and technique of underpainting then work on finishing their artwork by learning how to sketch flowers in a doodle-like manner. Class is taught through a guided-demonstration, where students watch the teacher then complete the step(s) on their own paper. Students will learn how to make their artwork layered to give it extra visual interest and depth by using the technique of underpainting mixed with drawing.
-9 x 12 Watercolor paper -Round Paintbrush -Watercolor Palette -Pen/pens (I prefer the Micron 03 and 08), a sharpie fine-point pen works too! -Regular Sharpie -Paper Towels -Water Cup -Spare piece of paper for practice/experimenting during class.
