Class Experience
Warrior Cats fans are passionate about this series! It activates creativity and imaginative thinking. In this FLEX class we'll be working collaboratively each week to create a Warrior Cats Clan and each student will get to create their own Original Character to play with in role play scenarios during the last 2 weeks. I currently lead 7 ongoing sessions of Warrior Cats Conversations that stay full and I get daily requests for more! I've created this FLEX version to be able to offer something to everyone who loves Warriors, even if they haven't been able to get into the ongoing class. This will give them the fun of creating a Warriors Clan in a collaborative environment. The only thing we won't have is the weekly meetings. When my own daughter was learning to read, it was the Warrior Cats books that brought out her love of reading. She went from a reluctant reader to a voracious reader. I want to foster this love of reading in others and allow their creativity to take them beyond the books. I love books and have always been a big reader. In fact, I sometimes joke that I should have been a librarian. In college I worked in a bookstore and assisted in the story time activities for kids.

Due to the nature of the Warrior Cats books there could be the topic of death and fighting brought up at different times. There are no specific plans to bring these things up, but they could be brought up by the kids.
