Description

Class Experience

Students will learn how to talk about the books they are reading with other people. They will also learn how to outline their own stories using characters and settings they have created.
I am an avid reader and have been a fan of the Warriors series for over a decade! I have led book clubs in the past and enjoy helping fellow readers engage stories. I am also a writer and love creating worlds and characters based on my favorite stories and genres.
Learners will be assigned three chapters per session to read. They should come to the first lesson with the first three chapters already read. They will also be expected to complete biweekly assignments where they will outline the story they have been building since the first class.
Forest of Secrets by Erin Hunter
Access to a computer and Google Docs so they can write their stories
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners will be assessed based on their ability to participate in class discussions. They will also be assessed based on their ability to complete project assignments.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
