Welcome to Ms. Jodi's library classroom! Settle in for some Halloween stories and adventures with me this Autumn! Imagine a teeny, tiny house with a teeny tiny woman who bakes teeny tiny chocolate chip cookies for trick or treaters...and this is one of the books that we will read together... "A Teeny Tiny Halloween" by Lauren Wohl. Can one have "Too Many Pumpkins?" And this is the title of our second book by Linda White. How does Rebecca Estelle turn a pumpkin mishap into a beautiful celebration? We will find out! Gustavo, the Shy Ghost is a beloved book in my library class for first and second-grade students. We will "watch the story" together and read along with the words in class. All reading levels and ESL students are welcome in this class. I will read the books as the students look at the pictures and read along with me. We will also complete a drawing after the story for pre-writing skills and then we will write a short sentence together.
Learning Goals
Students in my library classes enjoy listening, reading along, processing through drawing.... and falling in love with books/reading!We will listen to amazing Autumn stories to foster an early love for books!
