Learn how to select topics, define your stance, and understand your audience. We'll explore different types of opinion pieces and the elements that make them effective. **Week 2: Edits and Final Draft** - Learn the art of revision as you refine your draft. Enhance the clarity, coherence, and impact of your writing. Understand how to make effective word choices and sentence structures to improve the flow and persuasiveness of your piece. Focus on polishing your draft by eliminating grammatical errors, ensuring consistency in style and tone, and improving overall readability. Learn editing and proofreading strategies to elevate the quality of your work. Throughout this workshop, participants will engage in interactive activities group discussions, and mini lessons in order to develop their writing skills. Hi everyone! Welcome to class! I am Miss Kate. I have 15+ years of teaching experience with students ages 2-14 years old. I am passionate about early childhood education and building the foundation for life long learning. My classes will be engaging and focus on a variety of topics including early literacy, early math and life skills. I live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband and 3 (yes, three) big dogs!
I believe in engaging and playful learning and will teach my classes in a fun and interactive way including songs, digital & interactive games, and lots of interaction and opportunities for engagement.
I am certified to teach K-8 Elementary, K-12 Special Education and Early Childhood Education. In addition, I have a certificate in Child Psychology from Penn Foster, a certificate in Autism Studies from Arizona State University and a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Arizona State University. I love to teach and look forward to meeting your child!
