Learners will grow working vocabulary, acquire new strategies to comprehend reading, and increase reading fluency, thereby becoming more confident readers. This class will focus on learning Families of Prefixes and using that knowledge to apply to unknown and challenging words.
As a Reading Interventionist, I've spent the last 3 years teaching these vocabulary strategies to 3rd - 6th grade students, with great success. I've seen long lasting results in students' reading confidence and comprehension. It works!
