Class Experience

US Grade 8 - 11
Vocabulary Laboratory is a great way to expand your personal lexicon, so that you can get a higher score on the SAT and enjoy reading even the most challenging texts. This class encompasses 10 lessons, each with about 20 vocabulary words introduced in multiple activities and videos. Students will practice the words by

- matching activities
- SAT-style multiple choice questions
- reading SAT-level articles
- creating their own sentences using the words
- watching engaging videos after each activity
- and maintaining and reviewing their personal vocabulary list of new words

Since this is a self-paced course, there will not be other students to interact with. However, students are welcome to reach out to the teacher using the Outschool messaging platform to ask questions and share their creative takes on the new vocabulary words. Each student will receive a certificate of completion when they've completed all 10 lessons.
Learning Goals
Students will learn 100+ new SAT-level vocabulary words, understand how they are used in context, and remember them for the long term.
