Class experience

US Grade 5 - 8
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Students will learn the basic parts of a word (prefixes, roots, and suffixes) and how they affect the overall meaning. We will talk about Latin and Greek roots and practice using some of them to identify never-before-seen words.
Ralston M. has been studying Latin since 2007. He earned his B.A. in Latin from Emory University in 2014. At this time, Ralston was also inducted into Eta Sigma Phi, the Honors Society for Classics. Since then, Ralston has taught Latin and English to students at all levels. He regularly teaches students vocabulary-building techniques for tests such as the ACT, SAT, GRE, SSAT, ISEE, and more. He has taught students at all levels, including AP and collegiate classes, how to build their vocabulary and skills to parse the meanings of words and understanding the context of sentences.
