Class Experience

Welcome to Violin Party: A Group Violin Class For Teens! Students sometimes learn best when they can share their progress with their peers and benefit from group problem solving. Violin Party is designed for beginner-intermediate learners who already know the basics of violin playing but would like to improve their skills in a fun, supportive and social environment. In Violin Party, participation and group discussion is encouraged but not necessary. If you are introverted or shy you will still benefit from this class by listening, observing and participating in the music making. My approach incorporates lots of interactive games and exercises meant to introduce learners to the concepts of active listening, rhythmic awareness, ear training, collaborative playing, improvisation and mindful practice. I encourage students to share or learn their favourite popular songs, and actively engage in their learning process. The curriculum will also be designed to include beginner-intermediate violists!
