IMPORTANT TO KNOW: - Speed: Moderate - This class is appropriate for: Absolute beginners, advanced beginners or intermediate students. FORMAT: - During our first meeting I will work with students to evaluate their skills and determine future needs. - Students will work on reading, writing and speaking throughout the class and may occasionally be given work to do outside of class. - We will use rhythm, movement, and various other mnemonic devices to retain the information (ex: Simon Says, clapping etc.). - This is NOT a full immersion course. CLASS BEHAVIOR & ADMINISTRATIVE INFO: Please make note of the following: 1) VIDEO REQUIRED. Students will interact with me and their peers using the microphone and video camera on their device. In order to ensure the safety of all students, please ensure that your learner is able to turn on their video so that I may verify their identity. I also ask that cameras stay on unless your student needs to step away. 2) Please have your learner(s) familiarize themselves with the Outschool features such as mute and raising their hand. Students are expected to be respectful to all during class. 3) Please enroll all siblings for their own spot in the class, as appropriate. 4) If learners are unable to make a class, please be sure to unsubscribe prior to the Sunday of that week. Bonjour! Xin chào mấy bạn!
Thanks for stopping by! I’m a native French and Vietnamese speaker, a culinary school graduate and a worldschooling parent. My father is French from Bretagne, my mother is Vietnamese from Saigon (now known as Ho Chi Minh City) and while I was born in the US, Vietnamese was my first language and I spent nearly every summer either in Paris or Saigon and spent a few years full-time in Paris going to school.
While learning languages — especially beyond the beginner level — does involve some effort, it doesn’t need to be boring and I pride myself in trying to instill a love of language and culture in my students.
I hope you’ll join me on a language adventure!
A bientôt! Hẹn gặp lại!

VIDEO:
*** Video is required.*** This is important because I need to see how students formulate sounds with their mouths. Students will interact with me and their peers using the microphone and video camera on their device. In order to ensure the safety of all students, please ensure that your learner is able to turn on their video so that I may verify their identity. I also ask that cameras stay on unless your student needs to step away.
CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR:
Please have your learner(s) familiarize themselves with the Outschool features such as mute and raising their hand. Students are expected to be respectful to all during class whether verbally or in writing.
SIBLINGS & PARENTS:
Please enroll all siblings for their own spot in the class, as appropriate. Per Outschool policy, parents and other siblings may NOT be on camera with the student.
DISCOUNTS:
- Discounts are upon request and/or at my discretion.
- I offer a 10% discount to parents enrolling 3 or more children simultaneously in multi-day courses.
- I offer a 20% discount to current students who would like to re-try a multi-day course they’ve already taken.
- I do not offer any discounts for ongoing or one-time classes.
CANCELLATIONS, TRANSFERS & REFUNDS
- Transfers: Parents may ask for a transfer of a student to a different class time provided it is done the day before class starts. Last minute cancellations will not be refunded.
- Minimum enrollment: I reserve the right to cancel an ongoing class with less than 3 students and a multi-day class with less than 5 students. These classes will either be canceled and refunded, or rescheduled.
- Multi-day classes: Parents may receive a full refund until a week in advance, or within 24 hours of purchase (until the class starts). I do not offer refunds or make up sessions for classes missed. Students are encouraged tor view the class recordings for classes that take place in their absence.
- Ongoing classes: For planned absences, parents may keep the student enrolled if they would like their student to keep their spot in class. The student will have access to the class recording upon completion of the class. If parents would prefer not to be charged and do not want the recording, they should unsubscribe from the class prior to the Sunday of that week. Barring a problem that occurred on my end (e.g. technical issues), I do not offer refunds after the class has taken place.
- Classes wherein no students are present within the first ten minutes will be canceled without refund.
