Video Editing: Leveling Up with iMovie!
Class experience
In this 4-week course, students will learn editing techniques that is common in YouTube video creation. Students will learn the following editing techniques on iMovie: Week 1: How to find and use stock videos and music from Pixabay & Pexels. How to edit the stock videos in iMovie. Week 2: Creating your own green screen video using Apple Keynote. Week 3: Video overlay tricks (picture-in-picture, green screen, etc.). Week 4: Creating your own handwriting animation video. Students will learn how to edit their videos using iMovie and create additional effects with Keynote. They will also learn additional editing techniques that are made specifically for iPad or iPhone devices.
I highly recommend taking my 'Let's Have Fun With iMovie Class' if your child has no experience in video editing.
Students will need an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch with iMovie, Keynote, Pixabay, Pexels installed. The iPhone should be using iOS 16 or higher. The iPad should be using iPadOS 16 or higher. Please be aware that certain features from iMovie might not be available on older devices.
The student will be using iMovie, Keynote, Pixabay, and Pexels on their iOS devices. They will need to download iMovie, Keynote, Pixabay, and Pexels from Apple's app store. An Apple ID account is required in order to download both application from Apple's app store. A Google account or Apple ID is required in order to login to the Pixabay app. During the class, I'll be screen sharing my iPad on Zoom. I'll be showcasing the editing techniques in iMovie, Keynote, Pixabay, and Pexels.
