Class experience
In this one-time class, we will read and discuss Valentine's Day themed stories like "Pete the Cat: Valentine's Day is Cool" by James Dean and "One Zillion Valentines" by Frank Modell. Little learners can build great listening, observation and creative thinking skills during storytime, asking questions and using their imagination. Students will strengthen literacy and listening skills, prediction, problem solving and observation skills and will practice fine motor work, counting and using their imaginations as they listen to and discuss our stories and work on creating their own valentines with the pictures that are provided for enrolled learners.
2 files available upon enrollmentPlease print out the heart beats activity and a few of the valentine themed pictures and bring crayons to class so we can color together as we read our stories. You can choose different hearts to color and create valentines with after class or you can chose Valentine's Day coloring pages! No printer? That's OK! If your learner wants to color, please pre draw different size heart shapes on a couple of pieces of paper and bring those to class for your learner to color. It's not mandatory that your learner participate in the coloring activities. If they prefer to observe and complete the projects after class, that's OK too!

Background noise is clearly audible to the whole class -- even if your learner is wearing headphones. Please make sure phone calls and conversations take place in a room other than where your learner is on the computer... Outschool classes are recorded! **In order to promote class discussions and participation I do not mute learners' microphones. This also helps learners practice their social skills such as active listening and taking turns. In order for this to work, students need to be in a quiet setting away from background noises (loud conversations, telephone calls, t.v, etc.). **
