During this interactive storytelling class, students will explore one of the most important cities in the USA -- Washington, D.C. Our two Little Explorers are visiting the city in order to spend more time with their grandparents. It is a few days before the Presidential Inauguration when they visit. Students will develop a basic understanding of the culture of the USA by exploring the country's capital, Washington, D.C. Also, students will improve their critical thinking skills by completing the scavenge hunt worksheet before class. Then students will share their worksheet findings in the class, and thereby, work on their social communicative skills.
**Students may draw a picture about how their travels with family. *Complete additional worksheets
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
If requested, student can receive an informal assessment of the final drawing and completed homework.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
