Description
Class Experience
Students will develop a basic understanding of the culture of the USA by exploring the country's capital, Washington, D.C. Also, students will improve their critical thinking skills by completing the scavenge hunt worksheet before class. Then students will share their worksheet findings in the class, and thereby, work on their social communicative skills.
**Students may draw a picture about how their travels with family. *Complete additional worksheets
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
If requested, student can receive an informal assessment of the final drawing and completed homework.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
1.) Grandma uses a wheelchair. If asked, teacher will say, "Grandma was in a car accident." 2.) As the author of this original book, I can receive additional benefits through sales of this book on online platforms, such as Amazon and Teachers Pay Teachers. 3.) It is advised that parents stay off-camera for the full class if a young learner is unable to fully focus on the lesson and share items easily. 4.) Students will need an adult's help to research states in order to complete the pre-lesson activity.
