Can’t travel this summer? Don’t worry! In this class, learners become new explorers of Washington, DC, capital of the USA. We’ll visit museums, monuments, historic buildings and the White House. And there’s a drawing task (pre-class work).

Class experience

Students will develop a basic understanding of the culture of the USA by exploring the country's capital, Washington, D.C. Also, students will improve their critical thinking skills by completing the scavenge hunt worksheet before class. Then students will share their worksheet findings in the class, and thereby, work on their social communicative skills.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1.) Grandma uses a wheelchair. If asked, teacher will say, "Grandma was in a car accident."
2.) As the author of this original book, I can receive additional benefits through sales of this book on online platforms, such as Amazon and Teachers Pay Teachers.
3.) It is advised that parents stay off-camera for the full class if a young learner is unable to fully focus on the lesson and share items easily.
4.) Students will need an adult's help to research states in order to complete the pre-lesson activity.
