In this one time class, Students will play a fun competitive game of Kahoot! Student will learn and practice their knowledge of U.S States and Capitals as well as the geography of the location of the states.

Class Experience

In this one time class, students will practice their knowledge of states and capitals of the United States of America. Students will do this by engaging in a game of Kahoot! Students should have a basic understanding of their states and capitals and their location on the map in order to preform at their best. Students will answer a variety of questions to enhance their knowledge of these topics.
Students will need two devices to play this game in class. They will need one device for log in to the meeting and have the other device to use to submit their answers. 
Kahoot is a free app that can be downloaded to any smart device. It can also be accessed through the web browser.

My name is Shelby Landreth. I have been in the education field for many years. I was an education specialist at a local science museum teaching home school programs, school programs, and camps of many kinds. I also have experience teaching children with special needs. I have worked with these children in a school setting as well as a clinic setting providing ABA therapy. I also own the organization Creative Minds Learning Center LLC that also hosts classes here on Outschool. If there is a class of mine that you do not currently see available or if the class is sold out you may want to check to see if I have another teacher offering the class there. 
I believe that there is no reason that education and life skills cannot be fun since it is an essential part of our daily lives. If you are looking for a teacher that loves teaching and wants to teach your child a concept in a way that they will have fun and enjoy the class, you will find it in my classroom with fun games and projects that promote a lifetime fuel for learning.
