A comprehensive introduction to the Constitution that includes the Bill of Rights and 17 other Amendments. The course covers the need to replace the Articles, the influences on its framework, compromises made, and the ratification process.

Class experience

US Grade 8 - 11
Students will receive a thorough introduction and understanding of the Constitution, including the influences on the Constitution, major obstacles and conflicts between the delegates, compromises made, the struggle for ratification, and the public campaign in support of passage (Federalist Papers).
Homework Offered
Students will be expected to read the Constitution, in sections, throughout the course. Additional worksheets may also be provided.
2 - 4 hours per week outside of class

I won't issue a grade in this course unless requested. If homeschoolers have any special needs, please contact me.
Grades Offered
I will issue a copy of the Constitution and a vocabulary list that we will use during the course.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
