What's included

1 live meeting
45 mins in-class hours per week
Assignments
1-2 hours per week. Learners will be provided with texts to read, and questions about the content will be discussed during class.
Grading
I understand that many families prefer to grant autonomy to their learners. Unless there are important matters that need to be communicated to the family, I will provide feedback upon request.

Class Experience

Intermediate Level
In this class, our goal is to enhance vocabulary by reading newspaper and online articles while engaging in discussions together.

We will consult as a class to choose articles for the texts, focusing on topics that interest everyone.

Topics for the first four meetings are as follows:

October 5 : "Kodomo shokudō" grassroots initiatives
October 12: Studio Ghibli
October 19: The history of rāmen
October 26: "Futōkō" issues

To understand the level of this B2 class, you must be able to answer half of the questions below. Answers are after the questions.

To discuss contemporary Japanese culture, learners and their families are expected to show respect for diverse religious perspectives. Additionally, please be aware that discussions on Japanese food culture will include meat and fish dishes. I would also like to highlight that the Japanese language contains gendered elements.
