  • Students will write poems based on the specific poem form taught each week and learn about famous poets.
Homework Offered
Students will work on their poems in class, but some out of class time may be required if the poems aren’t finished.

Assessments Offered
Students will be assessed informally by the teacher and given verbal and written feedback as well as receive feedback from their peers in class.
Grades Offered
Students will be provided poem templates before each class.  It will be helpful for learners to have a magazine that can be cut up, scissors, glue, paper, and writing utensil, too!
