This class is perfect for beginners with little to no prior programming experience and will provide a solid foundation for you to build upon as you create your own video games.

Class Outline:
Week 1: Introduction to Unity
 -  Identify and use essential features of the Unity Editor.
 - Create and Manage Scenes
 - Navigate in 3D space in the Scene view
 - Navigate in 2D space in the Scene view
 
Week 2: Working with GameObjects
 - Create new 3D GameObjects.
 - Learn hierarchy and inspector windows of the Unity Editor.
 - Move, rotate, and scale 3D objects
 - Using primitives and prefabs

Week 3: Intro to Programming in Unity
 - Create a new script 
 - C# functions and variables
 - Print a message to the console
 - Change a GameObject using code 

Week 4: Player Control Part 1
 - C# comments, methods and parameters
 - Camera operation
 - Collision and Obstacles

Week 5: Player Control Part 2
 - Camera movement
 - Data types
 - User Input

Week 6: User Interface and Keeping Score
 - Creating a GUI
 - Particle System
 - OnClick events
 - Booleans to control game states

Week 7: Sounds and Effects
 - Particle system continued
 - Child object positioning
 - Audio clips and audio sources

Week 8: Final Review and Wrap Up
- This class is reserved for a final Q&A and review of class materials

Learning Goals

By the end of this course, students will be able to create their own simple 2D and 3D video games using the Unity game engine.
