Class Experience

Love unicorns? This one time 30 minute class will include 3 parts. In the first part we will make and decorate magical unicorn cookies! The students will help figure out how much of each ingredient to put into the cookies and unlock decorations. For example 12 + 3 chocolate chips. The format of this part will be a presentation where students will be able to see and count the ingredients as we make the cookies. In the second part of this class, we will get active! Students will have the opportunity to shake out their sillies as they practice math skills. We will figure out how many of each activity to do and then count together. For example, 20-7 jumping jacks. And then we will do 13 jumping jacks together while counting them out loud. The format of this part will be us talking together and doing the activities together. The third part of this class will be a game. We will have eggs and the students will need to answer math problems to see what unicorns are inside the eggs. We will play this game together as a class and I will randomly call on students to help me answer each question.

This class is a great way to practice adding and subtracting. Students should already be familiar with numbers 1-20

This class will have a co-teacher, Grandpa Randy.
