US Grade Kindergarten - 3
This class will discuss a new Owl Diaries book each week. Class will begin with a quick catch up and allow students to share something important that is going on in their lives. We will then take turns discussing the book of the week - What their thoughts are, any connections made, surprising parts etc., Students will have time to share their insight while also practicing good communication and active listening skills within the group. Additionally, each week will include either a reading comprehension activity or a craft that we will work on during class together. Owl Diaries Book outline 1) Eva's Treetop Festival 2) Eva's Trip To The Pumpkin Farm 3) Eva Sees a Ghost This is a fun, social class with emphasis on reading comprehension and sharing personal insight with a group.
