Take a dive with me into the ocean as we learn about four amazing sharks. Sharks are really important for the ecosystem, but many people do not know much about them and hence are afraid of them. Come along on this adventure to learn about how these four sharks feed, their diet, key features, and where you would find them in the ocean. During this 2-part course, we will learn about whale sharks, basking sharks, hammerhead sharks, and great white sharks. Both whale sharks and basking sharks...
Students will learn about 4 different types of sharks. Students will learn each sharks features and diet. Students will learn what apex predators and filter feeders are.
Students will receive handouts for the course the week before it is due to begin. Colouring pencils.
1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
