The concept of a function in math can be somewhat vague and confusing for students, but we're going to talk about it terms that make sense in the real world. We will walk through a real life situation to give students a way to think about functions that they can take to the math bank. Once we have a handle on the bottom line, we will demonstrate how to use our foundational thinking to evaluate all kinds of ways that textbooks and software curriculum may ask us to demonstrate our knowledge of "functions". Worksheets will be provided to use as we manuever through the class. Homework practice sheets will also be provided with answer keys, so students can practice their new insights. Prerequisite: Learners should have completed Pre-Algebra.
