This class will teach students the basic types of businesses that operate in society, their goals and objectives, as well as the impact internal and external factors on business decision making. The different types of stakeholders and their interests in the business will also be discussed. The class will be interactive, and students are welcome to break at any time for questions as the class is in progress. There will be questions throughout the class to encourage this interaction. No prior knowledge of business studies is required.

The main goal of this class is to give students an understanding of business structures and the environment in which businesses operate.
