Class Details: Our Understanding Elapsed Time class is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of elapsed time calculation and problem-solving. Whether your child is just beginning to learn about time or needs additional practice in this area, our class is suitable for learners of all levels. What will be taught? Throughout the course, learners will be taught the fundamentals of elapsed time, including how to calculate elapsed time accurately, understanding different units of time, and applying their knowledge to solve real-life time-related problems. Topics Covered: - Understanding the concept of elapsed time - Exploring the importance of elapsed time in everyday life - Learning about different units of time, such as seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, and months - Gaining various strategies and techniques to calculate elapsed time between two given points - Solving multi-step elapsed time problems - Applying the knowledge of elapsed time to practical scenarios - Using elapsed time in scheduling, planning, and time management Class Structure: The class is structured with a combination of interactive lessons, guided practice, and hands-on activities. Each session will consist of engaging lectures, interactive games, visual aids such as slides and video clips, as well as group discussions and problem-solving exercises. Teaching Style: My teaching style is student-centered, focusing on active participation and critical thinking. Learners will have ample opportunities to interact with the instructor and their peers during discussions, sharing their solutions, and collaborating on group activities. Interaction and Collaboration: Learners will have regular opportunities to interact with the instructor and their fellow classmates. These interactions will include class discussions, group activities, game-based learning, and problem-solving exercises. Learners will be encouraged to ask questions, share their ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions. Required Experience/Knowledge: Learners should have a basic understanding of how to tell time to the nearest minute on an analog clock.
