1 live meeting
25 mins in-class hours per weekHomework
1-2 hours per week. Practice the techniques and chords between classes, Practice every day to build up stamina and to be a fluent player.Class Experience
This is NOT a beginner class, Students really need to know 4 basic chords and be able to switch between them in order to get the most out of the class, to keep up, and not get frustrated. During these classes we will get more familiar with the strumming patterns and how to play songs. Your child does needs to know how to play the four basic chords C, A minor, F, and G, in order to take this course. This is a weekly ukulele club where students will get to work on the skills they have learned in prior Boot Camps and learn new things about the ukulele. If you have not taken any Boot Camps you are still welcome but you need to know the C, G, A minor, F chords and be able to do basic strumming patterns to get the most out of the class. Each week we will review the prior lesson and learn a new song. We will learn any new chords that we may need or strumming pattern we will use. I will always differentiate for students at different levels. You will get a basic way to play the song up to the more advanced way so students can learn and practice on their own level. The purpose of this class is to gain self confidence in their playing abilities, grow as a player, and have the freedom to try new things on the ukulele. Most importantly we will continue learning and challenging ourselves in our playing abilities.
Learning Goals
Students will gain the song knowledge and be able to play many songs by the end of class by strumming and putting chords together to form songs.
Other Details
Supply List
I will provide the information and chord finger positions and all they need is a ukulele and the willingness to learn something new every day. There are many free apps that you can download to help tune your ukulele. I use Ukulele Tuner app and it would be great if you could tune the ukulele before class. We will talk about tuning the first class so after that class they should be able to tune the ukulele before the rest of the classes.
1 file available upon enrollment
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
