Class Experience

This is NOT a beginner class, Students really need to know these chords and be able to switch between them in order to get the most out of the class, to keep up, and not get frustrated. During these classes we will get more familiar with the strumming patterns and how to play songs. Your child does needs to know how to play the four basic chords C, A minor, F, and G, in order to take this course. We will be learning more complex songs and the strumming patterns to play these songs. Most importantly we will continue learning and challenging ourselves in our playing abilities.
Lesson 1 - Students will review the 4 chords and strumming patterns they have learned through Boot Camp 1, 2, and 3 - C, G, A minor, and F. We will also practice switching between chords in order to become faster. Students will review the prior content and learn how to play Stitches by Shawn Mendes.
Lesson 2 - Students will review the prior content and learn how to play Dance Monkey by Tones and I.
Lesson 3 - Students will review the prior content and learn how to play Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi.
Lesson 4 - Students will review the prior content and learn how to play Love Yourself by Justin Bieber.

Please have your ukulele's tuned so that helps with some time. With these type of classes, times are approximately 45 min. but class may run over based on how many students and students abilities.
Learning Goals
Students will gain the song knowledge and be able to play many songs by the end of class by strumming and putting chords together to form songs.

Supply List
I will provide the information and chord finger positions and all they need is a ukulele and the willingness to learn something new every day. There are many free apps that you can download to help tune your ukulele. I use Ukulele Tuner app and it would be great if you could tune the ukulele before class. We will talk about tuning the first class so after that class they should be able to tune the ukulele before the rest of the classes.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
