Is your student planning on applying to a University of California UC school? Whether it's UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, UC Merced, or UC Riverside, your student will benefit from this coaching session. During this session, your student will receive highly valuable guidance and coaching on how to up-level their writing for the UC Personal Insight Questions (PIQs).  

This 1-on-1 University of California UC Personal Insight Question essay writing coaching session is led by Ms. Rena, a Harvard graduate with extensive experience coaching teens on college admissions essay writing.

Each 1-on-1 session is designed for your student to receive valuable UC PIQ essay response coaching, no matter what shape or form their responses are currently in. Your student will receive plentiful guidance to make their UC PIQ responses authentic, masterful, and concise. Whether their responses are fully-drafted or they're still brainstorming, Ms. Rena will meet your student where they are. After the introductory session, next steps may be determined.* 

Topics that might be covered in a session:

1. Comprehension of all the UC PIQ prompt options - breaking down each prompt piece by piece and understanding how your student's personal journey may or may not align with each.
2. Evaluation of the current status of your student's UC PIQs - what stages are they in? What are the main areas of improvement?  
2. Prompt adherence - is the content that's being presented aligned with the prompt? If not, how can that alignment be improved?
3. Writing coaching - guidance given on things like clarity, organization, flow, concision, coherence, etc.
4. Next draft guidance - what steps can your student take to improve their next draft of UC PIQ responses?

*PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: More than one session will most likely be needed, due to the draft iteration process. Start with booking one session with Ms. Rena to see if it's a good fit. The first session will be an introductory session. Typically, Ms. Rena will let you know how many additional sessions are required. Sporadic and à la carte booking is discouraged.

**PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: It is highly recommended that your student complete Ms. Rena's short course called "Crafting a Powerful College Admissions Essay and Personal Statement" before starting 1-on-1 college essay coaching with her.
