Beginner Level
We will be learning about the ukulele, how to hold it, how to tune, the order of strings and how to play chords C, F, A minor, G7. We will learn a variety of songs from simple nursery rhymes to popular songs heard on the radio. We will also practice moving from one chord to another. This class will be build off the information taught from session to session. The order of each class session will be as follows: - Quick community building question - Questions/review homework - Tuning check - Review from previous session - New content - Group song play alongs - Conclusion of what we learned and what to practice for next class. This class will be taught through a series of picture guides, slide shows and videos. The teacher will provide both group feedback and individual feedback. This class is meant to be fun, exploratory, and a laid back experience for young students learning how to play an instrument. The schedule for content is flexible and is determined by the mastery and progress of students. Occasional homework such as practicing chords and songs will be suggested to advance student skills. ** Parental guidance may be needed for tuning the instrument before or during class along with helping students initially place fingers in the correct spot on the instrument**

Parental Guidance
This course will use imbedded YouTube videos posted in the class page. These videos will be ukulele play along videos with chord pictures and background music.
