US Grade 9 - 12
If you're two weeks* away from taking the Digital SAT, this class is how to quickly boost your English score. That's because 45% of the possible points on the Digital SAT English section come from grammar-related questions. And what's tested in these questions is *super* learnable. Here's the problem: most students know a great deal of grammar, but still rely on their intuition when answering grammar questions. They end up making silly mistakes because the answer they chose just "sounded right." In this class, students learn to check their intuition by reviewing all grammar concepts and rules they need to know. Each week, they'll watch instructional videos and complete practice problems (usually around 1 hour of activities per day). ... This is a self-paced class which means there are no face-to-face meetings. That being said, this class allows students to complete practice questions on their own time (just like on the test) and receive individual feedback on the exact question types they keep missing. I leave notes within 24 hours of receiving their answers and record extra personalized videos when the student makes the same mistake multiple times. At the end of the two weeks, I give students additional resources to help them know which grammar concepts and rules they need to prioritize drilling before test day. ... This class is designed for: -Super busy students who can't make it to live sessions -Students who are two weeks away from taking the Digital SAT -Students who are beginning to study for the Digital SAT (This class works as a great foundational piece. After taking it, students can focus mainly on taking practice tests.) This class is NOT designed for: -Students who benefit from interacting with a teacher over Zoom ... Please check the syllabus for the class schedule.
Learning Goals
Students will feel confident on test day, as they'll know how to tackle the grammar questions on the Digital SAT.
