In this session we will read the story of Tutankhamun, the youngest Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt, from the Usborne Collection (learners do not need a copy of the book). The story includes the fascinating story of how Howard Carter, a British archaeologist, used his intuition and perseverance to discover the missing chamber even though many believed the tomb to be cursed. We will discuss the story together and learners will get to draw their favourite part of the story or write a diary entry from the perspective of Howard Carter or Tutankhamun himself. No prior experience needed for this beginner level and interactive class. 20 minutes: read story 10 minutes: discuss story and flash card quiz 10 minutes: draw your favourite part of the story or a similar scene from Ancient Egypt.

Since then I have worked in the humanitarian sector for the British Red Cross and worked as a private tutor around the world.
