Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi Everyone,

My name is Tansel and I hold a Bachelor degree in English Philology with the professional qualification of Teacher in English Literature and Grammar.

I’ve started my education career teaching English as a Second language to children and adults in Bulgaria.

After moving to the USA, I taught Kindergarten and witnessed how those young minds grew to be well-rounded students and succeed beyond school. I also worked with new immigrant children in the public school system, making sure they become lifelong learners.

Before joining Outschool I was a Library Assistant and was fortunate to work with all age groups from babies to adults and do a variety of programs: Library Storytimes, STEAM classes, Chess Club, Stitch Niche Fiber Arts Classes, and instructional craft videos. It was a rewarding experience.

Apart from English I am fluent in Turkish and Bulgarian. I believe in the power of learning a new language and its positive impact on brain development from learning languages at a young age. I love teaching and helping students expand their understanding about the world around us.

As a teacher, I work to instill confidence in my students to use their target language and build a positive trajectory for their lives.

In my free time, I enjoy knitting socks, crocheting, creating storytime felt boards, English paper piecing, metal stamping and trying different crafts. Ask me about my latest project!

Hope to see you in the classroom!
