Class Experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 2
You were trick or treating with your friends when suddenly your bag of candy was stolen! It’s time to solve the mystery of the missing candy! This is a flex class so you will be given a link to the escape room. You will then need to solve clues, and puzzles as you navigate through the narrative to find the culprit. Activities in the escape room include a word search, riddles, spot the difference, and more. Learners will use mostly spelling and language knowledge to solve the clues. This class also briefly touches on trick-or-treat safety as well as living vs nonliving. This class is best suited for learners who are able to read and write or have an adult able to help. Note: This is the same escape room as "who stole the Halloween candy? Mystery escaperoom”

Hello!
I taught art in traditional public schools for 6 years in Texas and started teaching on Outschool in 2021.
I would say my specialty here on outschool is escape rooms.
I love teaching my passions and believe in teaching the whole child. That is why I love throwing in other tidbits of knowledge while working on a project. It also means if you signed up for an escape room with me, it might be under the category of "math" but I can guarantee you will be challenged at a lot more than just math. I like to challenge students to think outside of the box and come up with unique solutions to creative problems.
I also have taught art classes through Michaels Arts and Crafts stores. My favorite moment was when a young lady told me they had a closer store to them, but they drove further to me because, with me, she "actually learned stuff".
Fun and Personal: I love to create and have fun. In my free time, I love to play both board and video games. I am a huge Disney nerd, and represent the Hufflepuff house with pride. I have a sweet seven-year-old daughter and three cats at home.
Currently my personal life is jam packed so I am currently only offering self paced classes.
