In this course, students will virtually travel to a new national park each week. After exploring and learning about the park students will get a chance to engage in a writing activity connected to our adventures. Prompts will be provided and will vary weekly to include a wide range of genres. This class is intended for students who enjoy learning about new places and want an opportunity to grow as a writer. This class will focus on building confidence and engaging in creativity. We will work on developing our writing craft by focusing on content. I will provide feedback and work towards improving writing through a focus on content and creativity. There are over 4000 national parks in the world and more than 60 across the United States. This course will travel to 10 of those parks Alaska: Denali Arizona: Grand Canyon California: Sequoia California: Yosemite Colorado: Great Sand Dunes Colorado: Rocky Mountain Florida: Everglades Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming: Yellowstone Maine: Acadia New Mexico: Carlsbad Utah: Arches

I have 17+ years of teaching experience (including full-time classroom, tutoring, reading intervention, homeschool programs, and coaching teachers)! Currently, I enjoy homeschooling my children and teaching online!
Kids are some of my favorite individuals. They are full of life with kind hearts, and are a joy to work with! In my classroom, you can count on an individualized approach to instruction.
