We will learn about the structure of the face and all of its 'working parts' at a basic level, incorporating them all into a self portrait with a focus on personality rather than physicality. I will instruct, teach and demonstrate the lesson all while inviting children to participate as much or as little as they feel comfortable. I am happy to improvise the class to work at a pace to accommodate all students and abilities. A wonderful introduction to exploring art and the self in a positive and playful way.
Learning Goals
A guided portrait for the young child creating gentle self awareness and allowing for plenty self expression. A basic introduction of the face and facial features as well as to painting, drawing and expression through art.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, my name is Gabi and I am an artist and illustrator living in the beautiful English countryside with my husband, son and a springy Sprocker Spaniel called Nesta.
I have plenty experience with children and have taught in a classroom, home and online setting. Watercolours are my speciality and something I love to explore with older and younger children alike. While my professional work can be quite neat and intricate (@withlovefrombug), I enjoy exploring other mediums, making a mess and having fun while we do it.... maybe we'll even get an artwork out of it too!
I can't wait to begin our classes - I truly get so much out of them and I would love to share the passion I have for art, expression, exploration and most of all, play.
I look forward to meeting you and learning together - Gabi x
