This is an ongoing class, feel free to jump in at any point! In this ongoing course learners will be introduced to concepts they will see in a second grade classroom. This class is best for learners going into second grade, but can also serve as a review for learners going into third grade. Class will be structured with a warm up word problem. Students will be learning 3rd Grade common core math skills and concepts.
I have a BA in Elementary Education and an MA in Educational Leadership. I have eight years of teaching experience in the classroom. I have taught all major content areas in grades 2-5.
Homework Offered
Students will be provided a mix of digital homework, as well as paper based homework that will need to be either printed, or transcribed to notebook paper. Homework is self-graded by families and an answer key will be provided.Assessments Offered
Learners will be assessed at the end of each lesson through the lesson. Learners will receive feedback from the teacher! Parents/Guardians can access learner performance at any time, just send me a message and I am happy to communicate progress!Grades Offered
1. Students will need sharpened pencils, notebook or looseleaf paper for scratch paper 2. Second device for Kahoot (tablet, iPad, phone) **A second device is not required. During this class we may be using Kahoot to interact with math topics and fellow students. Students do NOT need an account to participate.
