US Grade 3
This class is for students who have already completed third grade and want to review and be prepared for fourth grade. Each class we will review a new topic. Class will always begin with a mini lesson, followed by student practice, and a game at the end of class. We will use Nearpod in class for student engagement and interaction. If you have never used Nearpod before, it is easy and you will not need to download anything! You can join any time because each week will be a new topic, with a new mini lesson for that topic. I love teaching math, and look forward to reviewing this summer with your student! Class topics:; Week 1: Rounding/Adding and subtracting 3 digit numbers Week 2: Telling time to the minute Week 3: Simple Fractions, adding and subtracting fractions Week 4: reduce fractions Week 5 : Perimeter Week 6: Area Week 7 : Coordinate Grids Week 8: Graphs Week 9: Mixed numbers

Hello! My name is Mrs. Neal! I am a licensed teacher in the state of Indiana. I have been teaching on Outschool for five years, teaching 3rd - 6th reading/LA and Math! I taught 3rd grade for 7 years, and loved every second of it! I always knew I had a passion for math, but becoming a teacher taught me that I also have a love and passion for reading and teaching kids to love reading! My goal is always to create a classroom where students feel valued, successful, wanted, and smart! I keep my classroom positive and expect kindness and respect from all students.
I am also a mother of three, two boys ages 18 and 7 and a girl age 14. I did step away from the classroom four years ago in order to stay home with my kids. We live in Indiana during the summer and go to Florida for the winter months - I love showing my students the ocean and allowing them to see what we have seen on our adventures during the week.
