==================== 🟣 WHY THIS CLASS? 🟣 ==================== 🎓 This class is led by a licensed and certified teacher with certifications in K-6 classroom teaching and Elementary Music with 10 years of experience volunteering with and teaching PreK and Kindergarten students! 📒 This class includes a handout! The activity provided will be a great way for learners to show their grown-ups what they learned in class. This activity page is located in the Welcome Message in our Outschool classroom. You can take a picture of your student wearing their craft and share their completed art in your class review! 💪🏻 I bring ENERGY to every class so your learner will stay engaged and want to return for more each day! ================= WHAT TO EXPECT ================= - 🤝 Interaction! Students are encouraged to participate in class. It is my goal to leave microphones on for this class so students can add to the conversation and interact with other learners. If a child becomes a distraction to the class, I will mute that student for a limited time to make sure other learners can focus and join in on the conversation! - 🐷 Puppets and Props! I've collected puppets for my brick & mortar classroom for years, and I'm excited to share new puppets with your student that relate to our weekly theme! - 🎶 Live Music! Students will learn an original song to help them remember what we’ve learned! ================ CLASS OVERVIEW ================ If your preschool/kindergarten learner recognizes patterns in daily life, this one-time class is a great opportunity to expand on their curiosity! Using an original song, eye-catching slides, and a hands-on coloring activity, students will identify, understand, write, and continue pattern sequences. Learners will explore the basic concepts of "A" and "B," representing two different things in a pattern. With this understanding, we continue on to ABC and AAB patterns. Students will complete a "make-your-own" hat during class time using pattern sequences with colors and shapes. Be sure to bring your handout, crayons, colored pencils, or markers to class! ================= TEACHER MESSAGE ================= Thank you for taking the time to read about this class! I am excited to create a positive relationship with your learner and watch them grow! Teaching is my passion, and I can't wait to bring that energy to the classroom! ❤️ Ms. Vee

Learning an instrument challenges the brain in various ways.
It requires:
🧠 mental focus
💪🏻 physical agility
💭 new ways of thinking
In exchange, students achieve:
🧠 improved memory and attention
💪🏻 enhanced fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
💭 emotional regulation
👉 That's all to say, learning an instrument changes your brain for the better!

I can't wait to share my love of music with you through song, dance, or learning a new instrument and reading music! However you'd like to experiment with music, I'm honored to be part of this journey with you.
See you in the classroom!
