Class Experience

This online children’s book club will open a world of opportunity to each child that participants in the club. Guided by author, entrepreneur and former English teacher Barb Ve, this club/class meets twice a month with the first session announcing the book of the month and sharing the business and work themes and concepts that will be covered within the book and then discussed during the second session of the book club’s meeting near the end of the month. We will discuss a new book every month - you will not need to get the book until after the first class session then you will have about three or four weeks until the next class to read the book. You will learn which book we will be reading once you enroll in this class. If you enroll each month, by next year you will have read 12 new books - that's more than the average adult reads after graduating from high school!

During the second session of this club/class we’ll discuss the theme and concepts in-depth with leading questions proposed by the participants. This is a very active participation class and allows young people a friendly and safe environment to ask questions, discuss worldly topics and grow into stronger and more independent thinkers and doers. These discussions will expose participants to new thoughts and possibilities that alone, they may have never pondered or even considered. It is during mastermind sessions like these that great entrepreneurs and leaders have had life-changing ideas and inspirations that they have brought to life and created world-famous businesses and entirely new industries around.

All books have an accompanying reader’s discussion outline and a promptings and ponderings page that will allow participants to easily and quickly grasp the concepts and learning nuggets as they read and take personal notes during their reading sessions.

All books and reading selections will be at an average reading level for most participants. For participants who struggle with reading, the discussion outlines and promptings and ponderings pages will assist them in being able to better grasp the materials being presented. All attempts will be made to include all participants who show an interest in learning the material and actively participating in each month’s readings and discussions.

Most people will read a book once (or just a portion of a book) and not draw upon their learning or insights in later years. Participants within They Young Entrepreneur’s Book Club and The Young CEO’s Book club will upon completion of each book, be able to add to their own personal development library and knowledge base; a personal reference library of notes, thoughts and insights that they can access and refer back to long into the future. During each month’s book club, participants will learn how to capture personal insights and “Aha” moments and turn them into tools for future use. As a CEO and community leader, I have found this resource to be invaluable addition to my personal and professional growth, development and library. The other added benefit of learning and utilizing this process, is that each participant can re-read any book on any future date and capture new learning insights and learn how reading the same material twice or more can provide new learning and perspectives even as the reader ages.

As a former classroom teacher and special educator, it is my desire and heart-felt mission to engage the learning process of all participants and assist them in gaining new and life-changing experiences in a fun and friendly environment that meets their needs and delivers a new understanding that can open worlds of opportunity at any age.
Although it is not required, it is strongly recommended that parents read and interact with their child’s monthly reading material. When parents are fully engaged in their child’s learning process, the bond between parent and child is strengthened. This book club will offer parents and children more opportunities for frequent discussions and interactions on some topics that may, in the past, have been difficult. This book club may allow parents and children to learn and experience new work, business, and financial topics and ideas that they may decide to further pursue - together; maybe even forming a new family business or venture.

I live and teach w/3 basic principles:
#1 I'll never ask you to do anything I'm not willing to do myself.
#2 I won't do it unless it's fun
#3 If we must do it - I'm going to make it FUN!

I'm a master teacher with more than 20yrs direct classroom instruction (3rd grade - university) who then moved into entrepreneurship, consulting and private coaching...I've authored more than 11 books and 1 international best selling book. I'm currently writing a 5-bk series on financial education for children, a book on Grief & Losing Pets and a modern comic book on financial literacy & entrepreneurship. The release of my newest book, "Everything You Need To Know To Start Your Own Dog Walking Business" will be out this Spring 2023.

I host two podcasts (1x a week) for Pet Lovers of all ages, called EAT-PLAY-LOVE-PETS, where we provide meaningful conversations, information and resources for people and their pets to live a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life together for as long as possible.
My second podcast is The Kid Factor, what you need to know about money and business that isn't taught in schools. It is for kids ages 7 - 21 and parents too.

I began my first business in the 1st grade and sold it for a profit in 4th grade and now as an entrepreneur, I work with children and families teaching financial education, business start-up, marketing, passive residual income, entrepreneurship, money skills and self-reliance and I, in my own life, continue to practice all that I teach my students and their parents to do. Generating passive, residual income affords me the time and opportunities to share my knowledge, passion and love with those hungry to learn and change their lives so they too can live the life of their dreams.

I am an accomplished athlete with NCAA D1 records, multiple International Gold Medals and have set 4 World Records 9-times. I still compete and I am a highly sought after coach in the areas of strength & conditioning, mental prep. & mindset, track & field, swimming, tennis, powerlifting, and all of the "ball" sports... I don't just coach my athletes to be better in their given sports, I coach them to be better PEOPLE in their communities, just as I do with my students in my classes as well. I honor the opportunity to serve others and assist them in enhancing their athletic and academic performances...

I am an accomplished artist whose medium is glass and mirrors. My works hang in many businesses, institutions and homes throughout North America. I have earned many distinguished awards and my most favorite was The Governor's Citation For My State's Most Beautiful Artist. I have been a featured artist at the National Gallery of Art working with children and adults and I have been creating commissioned works since 1988.

I am a pet sitter and pet advocate since the early 1980s which I now share & teach others on pet nutrition, training and health care needs. Through my podcast, I am able to meet and work with many different types of people involved in the pet industry. Some of my favorite work is volunteering with various miniature horse rescues and equine therapy programs across the United States. I am an active member of my Community Animal Rescue Team (CART).

When I'm not teaching on zoom, I can often be found mucking horse stalls, photographing animals in nature or researching or interviewing a new person for my weekly podcasts. My newest hobby is becoming a Drone Pilot.

Until we meet: MAKE IT AN INCREDIBLE DAY!

See you soon,
Barb
