A one week fun class for kids getting ready to start First Grade
Class experience
Are you excited about First Grade? Are you scared? In this one week course we will talk about First Grade. Students will hear a different book each day about starting back to school. They will get to talk about how they feel. They will tell everyone about their school. Will they walk, ride the bus, or drive to school? Have they met their teacher yet? What is the school playground like? While we will talk about some feelings of being scared or anxious, the class will focus on the positives....
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will read the following books: First Grade, Here I Come! by Nancy Carlson If You Take a Mouse to School by Laura Numeroff Miss Malarkey's Field Trip by Judy Finchler and Kevin O'Malley The Night Before First Grade by Natasha Wing First Day Jitters by Julie Danneberg
