Parental Guidance
This class is about a group of boys living in Denmark that disagreed with the occupation of their country by the German Nazis. The leader's of their country had decided to cooperate with the Nazis to ensure safety and the preservation of their country. The boys disagreed with this and felt like they needed to rise up and resist the German occupation.
This class is not focused on the "evils" of Germany and all the things they did "wrong." This class is focused on the bravery, the organization and the convictions of these young boys to fight back against something they did not agree with in spite of the actions of the adults around them. As well as the motivation they inspired after they went to jail for their actions and the turn around of the adults in their country; and the resistance that grew out of their actions!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have taught WWII classes in a brick and mortar setting for 5 years and on Outschool now for more than a year. I know how to approach sensitive subjects with truth, honesty and in a way learners can understand. I have a passion for history; especially war history and love to pass on my knowledge to kids in fun and engaging ways!
I am particularly sensitive to kids and topics and respectful of families and what they may or may not want their kids to know or learn. I believe some topics should be taught by the parent in order to ensure the message is taught to the parent's approval.
