In this class, students will learn to multiply two single digit numbers (less than 9) together. Students will use groups of candy to visualize the process to introduce the idea of counting by 2s, 3s, 4s, or some other number as a way to solve problems. (Practice with times tables, which will build upon counting skills, will be covered in a later class.) A one-page, double-sided homework sheet will be provided for students to complete between the two meetings of the class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will be assessed by how well they do with the homework, as well as with an informal assessment on the second day of class. Parents will be informed of their student's performance.Grades Offered
